Our Open Mornings provide the perfect opportunity for us to showcase how we approach education. There is no substitute to visiting to the school and we’re really pleased we are now able to offer individual tours of the school. You will have the opportunity to explore our beautiful campus, experience the facilities and meet students and staff. We think you’ll be convinced by Sidcot’s unique atmosphere and innovative approach to learning.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the school, however there are currently some restrictions on what we can offer. Our next event will offer parents the opportunity to meet key members of staff virtually and then arrange a time for an individual tour of the school.
I shall also be pleased to tell you a little about what matters to us at Sidcot. Curiosity, simplicity, equality, empathy, personal responsibility, speaking up and being heard. These are all part of the Quaker philosophy that underpins life at Sidcot School.
At Sidcot we are justifiably proud of our students’ academic records. We are equally proud of their social skills, their emotional intelligence, their resilience and their determination to make a difference in the world – something even more important in the changing world in which we are now living.
It’s no surprise that these personal qualities go together with academic excellence. It’s our experience that curiosity and the confidence to enquire fearlessly – to live adventurously, as our Quaker philosophy puts it – leads children to be better motivated and more at ease with themselves as thinkers and learners. We don’t cram children at Sidcot, because we don’t have to. This is a kind, purposeful place where we educate the whole person for a life of active, responsible citizenship.
At Sidcot we understand how difficult a decision selecting a school can be. We recognise that, just as all children are different, so too are schools. To help you decide if Sidcot is the right school for you, do come and join us for a just a brief look at what makes us different – it may help you with your decision making.
